DonationsCitizens Advice Shropshire is a registered charity no.1085220 and although we receive grant aid from Shropshire County Council as well as district, borough, town, and parish councils in the County this does not cover all our expenses and we are very grateful for any donations and legacies received. Donations may be made at the local sites or sent to the registered office - Fletcher House, 15 College Hill, Shrewsbury, SY1 1LY. Cheques should be made payable to Citizens Advice Shropshire. If you would like to donate on line please click here http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/index/support-us/online_donation.htm and find Citizens Advice Shropshire. If you are a UK tax payer you may choose to gift aid your donation. This will allow CAS to re-claim the tax and thereby increase the value of the donation.
A gift aid declaration must:
- contain the donor’s name and home address,
- name the charity (or be made in circumstances where the charity is identified)
- identify the gift or gifts to which the declaration relates, and
- confirm that the identified gift or gifts are to be treated as Gift Aid donations.
Donors are liable to reimburse HMRC the relevant amount involved if they have not paid an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax equal to the amount reclaimed by the charity.
It is not normally necessary for a declaration to be signed and dated.
